The usual story behind a search for assisted living in Manyata Residency goes like this. - Assisted living. Help with bathing, dressing, toileting and moving around, medication assistance and routine health monitoring, for seniors who need a hand every day but are medically stable.
- Memory care. Dementia and Alzheimer's care with supervision, structure and staff who understand memory loss.
- Recovery after hospital. Post-hospital recovery care with nursing and physiotherapy, for the weeks after surgery, a fracture or a stroke, when a parent is too frail for home but no longer needs a ward.
- Palliative care. Comfort-focused nursing for residents with serious illness, with time and space for family.
Alongside the care, the listing mentions trained caregivers, wellness programmes and social group outings, a garden, furnished rooms, Wi-Fi and power backup. The outings and programmes matter more than they sound: seniors who arrive after a long hospital stay often lose confidence, and getting them out of their room is part of recovery.
When you visit, ask Novara how a stay changes if your parent moves from one stream to another, for example from recovery care to long-term assisted living, and whether the room or fee changes too.
Hospitals and access near the tech park
- Hebbal's hospitals. Aster CMI Hospital, Manipal Hospital Hebbal and the Baptist Hospital are all a short drive west along the Outer Ring Road. Ask which one Novara uses for emergencies and whether your parent's own specialist can continue there.
- Visits on a working day. Families living in Thanisandra, HBR Layout, Hennur or Hebbal can drop in at lunch or after work, which makes a real difference to a parent settling in.
- From the airport. Relatives flying into Kempegowda International Airport reach this side of the city via Hebbal without crossing the centre.
- Errands. Pharmacies, labs and supermarkets line Thanisandra Main Road and the ring road, so prescriptions and tests are easy to sort out.
Peak-hour traffic around the tech park is heavy. Visit once around 6 PM to see what the drive, and an ambulance run, would really be like.
What assisted living costs near Manyata
Care homes on the Nagavara side of the ring road sit in the middle to upper part of Bengaluru's range. As a rough guide:
- Assisted living: about ₹40,000 to ₹75,000 a month, depending on the room and the help needed.
- Memory care, palliative care and post-hospital recovery: about ₹60,000 to ₹1.2 lakh a month, because these residents need more nursing time.
- Extras: physiotherapy beyond the plan, a one-to-one attendant and consumables are often billed separately.
