Idigarai is a small town panchayat in north Coimbatore, set among farmland between Mettupalayam Road and Sathy Road, beyond the city's NGGO Colony. - Getting around. Roads link Idigarai to Thudiyalur on Mettupalayam Road and to Saravanampatti on Sathy Road, so visits from either side of north Coimbatore are easy. The airport is around 40 minutes away.
- Shopping and errands. Basic shopping is in Idigarai itself, with larger supermarkets, malls and banks in Saravanampatti and Thudiyalur.
- Temples and quiet. The village temples and open fields give residents an unhurried pace, with evening walks a big part of daily life.
Is Idigarai right for your parent?
Idigarai works best for a parent who is still mobile, enjoys a quiet routine and does not need a doctor every day. It is a good fit for families living in Saravanampatti's IT corridor or around Thudiyalur, since both are close enough for an evening visit after work. NRI children often like a branded community here because services, billing and maintenance follow a set system.
